What's Saving My Life Right Now

Anne of Modern Mrs. Darcy recently posted her list of The things that are saving my life right now. I loved her list (and gorgeous photos!). She's right, February is rough. It's a cold, snowy limbo of short days and runny noses before the new beginnings of spring.

Here's my short list of what's saving my life right now.

1. Tea All the tea. I'm freezing most of the time so tea-- morning, afternoon, and night. I've been hooked on my favorite, Harney & Sons Paris Tea since I got a tin of it loose for Christmas. My current favorite nighttime tea (no caffeine) is Honey Lavender Stress Relief from Yogi. Smells so good! My lovely sister-in-law got me the little man infuser for Christmas. He's just so cute when he hangs on the side of the mug.

2. Chocolate. I'm a choco-holic and I'm trying to find a way to reform myself. I found the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Almond bar from Moonstruck on clearance at Kroger. I've been pretty good most days, just breaking off a small piece at a time and tucking the rest back into the cabinet.

3. Adult Coloring. I never thought I would try it, but I saw the Blossom Magic book at Costco a few months ago for a good price and thought I'd give it a shot. It's oddly relaxing. I can color away and think about any number of things, process my day, have a conversation with my husband. All while looking at something pretty. I have been using these markers -- nothing fancy.

4. Garden & Gun magazine.
I stumbled upon this magazine during one of our Costco trips and fell in love. Great stories and beautiful photography. And the cover story for the February/March issue... Alright, alright, alright.

5. Podcasts.
I love to listen to podcasts while I'm cleaning or cooking. And those rare car rides when I am alone. Glorious.

My top listens right now:
Anne Bogel's What Should I Read Next
Beyond the To Do List
The Lively Show
Happier with Gretchen Rubin

What's saving your life right now? Big or little things. We all need help to get through February.
