We woke up to news of the earthquake in Japan and immediately thought of J-bird's brother and his pregnant wife who are living in Japan. Luckily, we have heard from them already via Facebook-- they are safe in the south, in Fukuoka. Today, we are thankful for their safety and for technology besides phones which tend to be overwhelmed during times of disaster or crisis-- recall how jammed our phones were on 9/11.
Today, like most of the world, we are thinking about Japan, the lives lost, and the work it will take to rebuild what was destroyed or damaged.
